Vera Vita enters premium senior living sector with Rs 600 cr Amaya project
Hyderabad, Aug 27 (UNI) Vera Vita Living LLP on Thursday announced its entry into India’s premium senior living sector with Amaya, its flagship residential community in Hyderabad, with an estimated project cost of Rs 600 crore.
Addressing a press conference here during the launch of the project logo, co-founder Arudradev Rao said Amaya aims to provide seniors an independent, active and community-oriented lifestyle, with healthcare and support services available when required.
Co-founder Dhruv Badruka said the project is part of a 13-acre master plan, with the first phase spread over three acres and comprising 256 homes. It will have wellness and fitness facilities, swimming, pickleball, yoga, recreation, dining, arts and culture spaces, landscaped gardens and walking areas, besides medical, nursing, physiotherapy, emergency response, housekeeping and concierge services.
Badruka said the project, located near the Khandlakoya Reserve Forest with access to the Outer Ring Road, will eventually have 750 residences in 1, 2, 2.5, 3 and 3.5 BHK configurations, ranging from 950 to 2,400 sq ft. At least one resident in each home should be 55 years or above, while younger family members can own the property.
The founders said Amaya would incorporate senior-friendly features such as wider corridors and wheelchair- and stretcher-friendly spaces while retaining a home-like environment. They cited estimates that India’s senior population could increase from 138 million to 250 million by 2050.
The founders said the monthly maintenance and hospitality package ranges from Rs 25,000 to Rs 50,000, covering housekeeping, laundry, resident doctor, nursing support and activities. Food is charged separately at Rs 12,000-Rs 15,000 per person per month.
Tanay Saboo, partner and director, said the first phase is estimated to cost Rs 250 crore and the project will be developed in three phases. The founders said construction is progressing ahead of schedule and that Vera Vita plans to expand to other cities, with Chennai among the markets being explored.
